Terms of reference
Position: Financial Adviser/ Internal Auditor
Duty station: Garowe – TPEC Headquarters
Reporting to: The Transitional Puntland Electoral Commission
Major Tasks and Responsibility:
Responsible for the oversight of the Puntland electoral financial activities;
Assist the Transitional Puntland Electoral Commission in maintaining strict discipline and control over the financial operations of the Puntland electoral activities;
Ensure that all financial transactions are complete and accurate and are in line with the budget lines before they are submitted to the TPEC for authorizations;
Ascertain that all payment vouchers are fully supported by the required documentations and are correct prior to the payment being effected;
Assist the TPEC in preparing monthly financial reports;
Prepare end of operations final financial report for the local councilors election;
Perform any other related task as assigned by TPEC.
To report directly to the Chairman of TPEC.
Qualification & Experience:
Degree in Business Administration with accounting major;
At least 2 years experience as an accountant or financial controller;
Demonstrated ability to deal with time pressure
Excellent communication and report writing skills
Fluency in English language
Good working knowledge of Microsoft office suite
